Molecular transfer device

The molecular transfer device is a Decepticon invention from the Marvel Books portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

The molecular transfer device sounds more useful than it is, or both the Decepticons and the Autobots are not very creative. Probably the latter. A molecular transfer device is capable of teleporting gasoline from afar, or at least that's the only substance it has been shown to be able to affect.

The Decepticons had created the molecular transfer device to steal fuel from all over Earth without having to leave their base. Despite that no Decepticon could be linked to any of the thefts, it didn't take so much as an extra thought for the Autobots to know their enemies were behind the worldwide disappearances of fuel resources, so they went to attack them.

Because the Autobots had not been able to get gas anywhere before rolling out, the battle was not proceeding in their favor. Due to Mirage distracting the Decepticons with holograms, Bumblebee could reach the molecular transfer device and get some alone time with it. Bumblebee cleverly used the machine on the Decepticons, draining them of almost all their fuel and ensuring the Autobots their victory. Optimus Prime then ordered Ratchet to dismantle the molecular transfer device so that it could never be used again. Summertime Coloring Book
