Optimus Prime (オプティマスプライム Oputimasu Puraimu) is the leader of the Spacetime Police, the Autobots of the interdimensional nexus of Cloud World. He is a valiant and powerful leader who commands the utmost respect from his subordinates and stands for peace and freedom for all sentient beings in all of spacetime. His sense of responsibility in this regard is a bit too great for his own good, as it often leaves him worrying about things outside of his control.

Prime is also a mighty warrior, being responsible for saving Cloud's capital of Metropolis from Megatron's rebellion years ago. His weapon of choice is a powerful ion blaster that transforms into a back-mounted energy unit used to control his movement between dimensions.

Farewell

Optimus was supervising the Autobots' monitoring of the multiverse at Spacetime Police headquarters when Wheeljack informed him that a disturbance in HM33 Spacetime of spacetime would eventually cause major problems in its flow of time. Optimus assigned the investigation of this disturbance to Bumblebee, then noted that Hot Rodimus had not completed his latest report, communications with the young Autobot having been lost while he was on his own mission. With a brief inspirational speech, he urged his subordinates to redouble their efforts in maintaining harmony throughout reality. Little did Optimus suspect that in his own universe, Megatron was planning a coup against the Autobots... Uprising

The Decepticons' initial strike came abruptly and brutally, devastating entire districts of Metropolis. Optimus was meeting with Hot Rodimus as this took place, and was nearly overcome with grief when Ratchet informed him of the carnage the Decepticons had wrought. Steeling himself, Optimus coordinated the city's defenses, ordering his troops to be dispatched where they were most needed to repel the invasion. Upon spotting an old enemy on one of the nearby monitors, Optimus geared up to go in the field himself. Arming himself with his favorite pistol, Optimus resolved to take down Megatron. Raid

Optimus confronted his archenemy on the battlefield, though he had to knock Starscream aside to get to him first. Due to a nearby explosion that rocked the battlefield, Optimus nearly lost both his stance and his head when Megatron took advantage of the opening. But Optimus's quick reflexes allowed him to shift to vehicle mode and back, dodging Megatron's attack and striking back in the process. As the battle raged on, both combatants found themselves evenly matched. Then Ratchet contacted Optimus with dire news; the Decepticons had managed to abduct SARA! Fate

In shock over the news, Optimus could do little more than scream in agony as Megatron and Starscream made their escape. After regaining his senses, the Autobot leader resumed contact with Ratchet, relaying the order that all Autobots were to return to base. There, Optimus tried his best to calm his panicking subordinates. Though he assured them that power reserves would allow their civilization to continue functioning for some time, they remained jittery. Optimus then declared that he would spearhead a counter-invasion of the Underground. Still, the Autobots remained uncertain, with Brawn pointing out that the Underground was not only vast and dangerous, but mostly unmapped as well. Taking full responsibility for SARA's abduction onto himself, Optimus suggested that he venture to the Underground alone and track SARA's energy signature. Hot Rodimus, however, was unwilling to allow his leader to take such a dangerous course of action, and volunteered to join him. The rest of the Autobots, finding their courage at last, followed suit. Moved by their devotion, Optimus accepted. He also thanked Hot Rodimus for calling out his foolishness, as Optimus now recognized that he would have made an even greater mistake by diving headlong into a doomed venture. Brawn approached Optimus next, insisting he join the group. Optimus at first refused, as Brawn had gotten badly injured during the invasion, but was convinced by the minibot's resolve. Once they were ready, Optimus issued the order to his Autobots... ROLL OUT! Resolve

The Autobots tracked SARA's energy signature to a decrepit old building. While a team headed by Jazz stormed the building's main floor as a distraction, Optimus, Hot Rodimus and Brawl infiltrated its basement covertly. Coming upon the Decepticons' inner sanctum, they found Megatron having already wired SARA into his own body! Horrified by this development, Optimus demanded to know what Megatron was planning to do. The true extent of Megatron's megalomania was then revealed; the Decepticon leader planned to use SARA's energy to become ruler of the entire Spacetime World, even if it meant destroying his home dimension in the process. Both Hot Rodimus and Brawn were knocked aside by Megatron in short order, leaving Optimus with no back-up and few options. Deciding he needed to take down Megatron, even at the cost of his own life, Optimus transformed to vehicle mode and rammed the Decepticon. He then lost consciousness...

Optimus awakened to the sound of Ratchet's voice. Taking in his surroundings, he noted that he was now in an organic forest, surrounded by unfamiliar Transformers. It soon dawned on him that he had been transported to the dimension where Megatron had intended to begin his conquest: the primordial OG001 Spacetime. The 'bots surrounding him were the local counterparts to his own Autobots, including his own doppelgänger! The locals informed him that they had found him thanks to the help of his "companion," a small robotic girl. Before Optimus could puzzle out who this humanoid was, the group came under attack by the local Megatron. Though badly injured, "Cloud Optimus Prime" had the strength to fight alongside "G1 Optimus Prime" against the Decepticons, and protect the girl that had brought the Autobots to him. During the fight, blasts from both Primes' rifles collided with a blast from Megatron's fusion cannon, knocking all of the combatants down. Cloud Optimus Prime ensured that the girl was safe before before his attention was drawn to the horizon by a familiar voice. It was "Cloud Megatron," who had also survived his inter-dimensional trip, and had come to continue his fight against his nemesis. Leap

Cloud Optimus placed himself between Cloud Megatron and the girl, urging her to flee for cover. The local Transformers set aside their differences in the face of the mutual threat of Cloud Megatron, and as he swatted them aside, Cloud Megatron, sensing SARA through their new connection, roared at Cloud Optimus Prime to surrender it, but the confused Autobot could only deny any knowledge of SARA's whereabouts. It was then that Cloud Optimus noticed the mysterious girl taking cover behind a rock and recalled the one who appointed him as Supreme Commander of the Spacetime Police stating that SARA was not merely an energy unit, but a sleeping being with a will of its own. And it was then that Cloud Optimus Prime realized the truth: the girl was SARA itself! Cloud Megatron came to the same realization and attempted to seize the girl, but SARA was not without her own defenses, repelling him with a blast of spacetime energy. Speaking telepathically to Optimus, SARA told him to leave Megatron to her, and subsequently generated a Dimension Gate out of thin air that banished Megatron to parts unknown. With Cloud Megatron gone, SARA opened another Dimension Gate and returned herself and Optimus to Cloud World. Rampage

There are like fourteen versions of this mold at this point and he's met all of them.
  • Optimus Prime (May 29, 2014)
    • ID number: TFC-A01
    • Accessories: Smokestacks/Convoy Gun, energy unit/ion blaster
Cloud Optimus Prime is a redeco of the Classics Voyager Class Optimus Prime mold, transforming into a modern cab-over style truck of made up model, dominated by a large "energy unit" on his roof (actually a wind vane). He features a similar Generation 1-inspired deco to the original toy, but aims for a "cleaner" cartoon-accurate appearance than his Henkei! Henkei! release by omitting many paint details such as stripes on the cab, while the energy unit is colored black with a silver Autobot insignia in homage to Generation 2 Optimus Prime.[1] In robot mode, Prime's energy unit transforms into a large blaster and his smokestacks transform into a smaller laser cannon. Additionally, both weapons can combine together to form a double-barrelled over-shoulder weapon. He was available exclusively at TakaraTomy Mall.
