Ignition chamber

The ignition chamber is a location on Cybertron from The Last Knight portion of the movie continuity family.

The ignition chamber is a facility capable of serving as a transfer point for energy from one living metallic planet to another. Such a process requires a staff to operate.

The ignition chamber was Quintessa's base on Cybertron. When Optimus Prime crashed on the planet, he landed near the ignition chamber which he entered to confront Quintessa. Once she had subdued him and put him under a spell, Quintessa showed Optimus around the chamber and explained how it was vital in restoring life to Cybertron via draining Unicron's life force into their homeworld. Quintessa then turned Optimus into Nemesis Prime and sent him back to Earth so he could bring the staff to the ignition chamber.

When Megatron brought the staff, he ordered his army to defend the ignition chamber from anything that came near as Cybertron healed its wounds. Aided by the constantly shifting geography of the reconnecting Cybertron, the Decepticons managed to hold off any hostiles from approaching until their large gun emplacement was destroyed by Sqweeks. Despite this, the sheer number of Decepticons proved an adequate defense and the human military hit on a plan to destroy the ignition chamber by causing a nearby chunk of Cybertron to detach and swing into it. Despite the devastating impact, the chamber continued to function before coming to rest on another part of Cybertron. When Viviane Wembly managed to remove the staff from its resting point, the chamber was destroyed. The Last Knight
