The helicopter is a Decepticon Micromaster vehicle from the toyline portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

Gestures never to make in your small helicopter unless you like being called "lefty".

Skyhopper likes to see things blow up, so just why he was given command of the helicopter is a bit unclear. It is a heavily armed and massive craft, equipped with a sonic cannon that destroys its targets with the power of sound... but that's not the same as blowing them up. The helicopter converts to a battle base with a circuitry-destroying molecular disrupter cannon... but destroying circuits and disrupting molecules aren't really the same as blowing them up, either. There's no fire, and no earth-shattering kaboom. Skyhopper's gotta be one frustrated 'bot.

Commercial appearances

The helicopter, along with the interstellar shuttle, was captured by Bumblebee and dragged into the Autobot base, where it promptly transformed and attacked the gullible Autobots. Micromaster micro base commercial

Skyhopper (Micromaster Base, 1989)

Released in the sixth year of the The Transformers toyline (fifth year in the European line), this helicopter is a large assault chopper of made-up model, piloted by a single Micromaster pilot. It unfolds into a large battle base, with a radar tower and twin gun emplacements can be "manned" by Micromasters. The base has multiple ramp attachment points; two of those ramps are the standard type designed to connect to other Micromaster bases, while the third ends in a flattened wedge that lets Micromasters roll smoothly onto the "ground".

This set came with the exclusive Micromaster Skyhopper.

In Japan, the helicopter was redecoed into the Autobot vehicle Sky Hyper.
