The Heliobots are an Autobot subgroup from the 2005 IDW portion of the Generation 1 continuity family.

The Heliobots are an Autobot unit. Springer was seemingly a member before he joined the Wreckers.

Fiction

Along with Kup and Prowl, the Heliobots may have raided the Fatal Consequence and captured its captain, Violator. Bullets

The Heliobots were first mentioned when Kup told Springer the story of how they raided the Fatal Consequence in the version of "Bullets" published in the trade paperback edition of Last Stand of the Wreckers. However, for hardcover collection of the series, their name is erased from "Bullets", and Kup's dialogue is changed to refer to only "a dozen other" Autobots. Presumably, this change was made so as to not conflict with the reference to the Heliobots made in "Zero Point" (first published in the hardcover), which indicated Springer was a member of the team, since if that was the case, then he would have been present for the adventure Kup describes and wouldn't have to be told about it. However, the Wreckers Saga trade paperback, which also contains reprints of both "Bullets" and "Zero Point", again features the original version of the line in question with the Heliobots as part of the raid.
