- Gauntlet is a neutral Cybertronian from the novels portion of the Aligned continuity family.
This character has no official visual representation in any Transformers product or media... yet, at least.
Gauntlet was the militia magistrate for the High Council in the last days before the war began. A true believer in the caste system and the military world into which he had been "born" as soon as he had emerged from the Well of All Sparks. He took real pride in the military history of his training ground at Fort Scyk and of Stanix itself. The single regret in what he considered a full and worthwhile existence was that he never had the chance to take part in "large-scale" combat. Given his fate, there's a real irony in that.

Gauntlet was aware of the growing power of the revolutionary Megatron and felt he was a low-class malcontent that would be easily dealt with when the Council finally gave him approval to sweep out the cesspools of Kaon and the Badlands.
Unfortunately, Fort Scyk was bombed as part of the terrorist acts that began the build-up to the Autobot/Decepticon war. Gauntlet was killed in the attack. Exodus
