Crimson Guard

Among the Cobra troopers, the Crimson Guard are the elite, having proven their unconditional loyalty to the terrorist organization. They are often posted as body guards for the higher-ups in Cobra, defending the likes of Cobra Commander until their dying breath.

Transformers vs. G.I. Joe

When the Joes rushed a Cobra desert base, several crimson guards covered Cobra Commander and the Baroness as the two of them escaped in a Rattler. Though they managed to take out a few Joes in the process, many more Guardsmen were taken down. Cobra Commander was allegedly killed as well that day. The Golden Boys Many more Crimson Guardsmen helped defend Springfield, a Cobra base posing as a quaint little town, from yet another attack from G.I. Joe. The Joes managed to take this Cobra base as well. Though Cobra seemed rudderless without Cobra Commander's leadership, in reality the Baroness, now calling herself the Serpentress, had taken hold of Cobra's reins. Several Guardsmen attended her when she offered sanctuary to Frenzy and Laserbeak, two Cybertronians having recently become embroiled in Cobra's personal war against the Joes. I Saw Three Ships

When it came time for Cobra to establish relations with Cybertron in person, several Crimson Guardsmen accompanied Destro as he used the M.A.S.S. transfer device to teleport himself to the alien world. Though Destro survived the trip, none of the Guardsmen did. They died in burning agony, writhing on the floor as Destro approached Megatron to discuss Cobra's alliance with the Decepticons. More Crimson Guardsmen were taken down by Duke as the Joe made his way through Cobra's headquarters to confront Snake-Eyes. Form Follows Function

Evidently, Cobra figured out a way to get more of its troops to Cybertron without having them die in the process. Several Crimson Guardsmen were posted as part of Megatron's entourage and helped him fend off the Joes when they stormed his throne room. Everybody Hates Metroplex

Back on Earth, scores of Crimson Guardsmen accompanied the Serpentress when she addressed the United Nations, in an attempt to intimidate the leaders of the world. Expelled from the Garden

When Scarlett was imprisoned in another "Springfield," Doctor Mindbender attempted to brainwash her into thinking that she had always been a normal suburbanite, instead of a soldier fighting an inter-planetary war. A couple of Crimson Guardsmen tried to help a Decepticon quell one of the Autobot uprisings taking place when news of Optimus Prime's return reached Cybertron's populace. Pax Megatronus When the true Cobra Commander returned, executing the Crimson Guard who'd taken his place while he was thought dead, the rest of the Guardsmen loyally hailed him as their leader once more.
