Change Micron

Change Micron (チェインジマイクロン Cheinji Maikuron) was a line of candy toys produced by Kabaya during Legends of the Microns. The series consisted of straightforward reproductions of four of the Mini-Con teams from the Armada/Legends of the Microns toyline, at full size, fully transformable, though sometimes with fewer paint applications and slight differences in the small details. They were sold in two waves (or "Versions", as they were called) of six and packaged with fizzy "Ramune" candy.

Ver. 1

This wave, released in April 2003, consisted of the Street Action Mini-Con Team and the Air Defense Mini-Con Team; both teams retain their ability to combine, into Perceptor and the Star Saber, respectively. Each of the Street Action Team lack a few paint applications, while this version of the Air Defense Team are singled out by being molded in white plastic, rather than the colorless clear plastic of their mainstream toys.

Ver. 2

The second wave, released in August 2003, featured the Race and Space Mini-Con Teams, with both retaining their ability to combine into the Skyboom shield and Requiem Blaster respectively. All the figures had fewer paint applications than the original toys, although in Mirage/Indy's case, he actually had more detailed paint on his face, in the form of individual painted eyes!
