Multiplayer Reveal Trailer
The Multiplayer Reveal Trailer was released on August 11th, 2014, and can be seen here.

- The notification for receiving a Supply Drop during a match uses the actual image of a Supply Drop versus a icon.
- The XS1 Vulcan does not have a thermal vision option.
- The prompt to exit lockdown mode on the XMG is placed at the bottom of the screen instead of below the ammo counter.
- The Create-a-Class icon for the XMG is different.
Gamescom Multiplayer Build
To do: This build was also likely playable by the public as well. Research this. |
A multiplayer build of Advanced Warfare was playable at Gamescom 2014 by Call of Duty content creators and contained a select amount of content from the final game. It contained the following differences from the final:
- The text for picking up a weapon off the ground has a weapon name (name + attachment(s)) limit of 9 characters, including spaces. This difference does not seem to have been representative of the final game.
- Quickdraw Grip is called Lightweight Grip.
- The Hybrid Sight is called "Variable Red Dot Sight". In addition, its loadout screen icon differs from the one used in the final game.
- The Dual Magazine has an additional feature where the player will not lose all magazine ammo for every other speed reload. This feature possibly was removed because it incentivized players to always speed reload for the long Dual Magazine reload. In addition, the loss of ammo from each other speed reload could easily be mitigated with Scavenger.
- When viewing a loadout on the Create-a-Class menu, the name for the first attachment selected for a weapon is larger than the names of the next two attachments. In the final, the names of all attachments are the same size.
- The cost of some of the Scorestreak and Scorestreak modules are different.
