Sir Colin Moffat Campbell of Aberuchill, 8th Bt. was born on 4 August 1925.1 He was the son of Captain Sir John Alexander Coldstream Campbell of Aberuchill, 7th Bt. and Janet Thomson Hood Moffat.2 He married Mary Anne Chichester Bain, daughter of Brigadier George Alexander Bain and Maureen Agnes Chichester, on 21 May 1952.1 He died on 1 December 1997 at age 72.1
He was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded.1 He gained the rank of Captain in 1948 in the Scots Guards.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1945.1 He was with James Finlay & Company between 1948 and 1990.1 He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Campbell, of Aberuchill [N.S., 1668] on 21 January 1960.1 He was chairman of the Tea Board of Kenya between 1961 and 1971.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society of Arts (F.R.S.A.) in 1982.1
