Henry Frederick Francis Adair Barrington was born on 28 July 1808.1 He was the son of Reverend George Barrington, 5th Viscount Barrington of Ardglass and Elizabeth Adair.2 He married Mary Georgiana Knox, daughter of Colonel Wright Knox, on 25 July 1848.1 He died on 25 March 1882 at age 73.1
     He was a practising barrister-at-law.1

     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Somerset.1
