     Her married name became Maxse.

     Sarah Algeria Marjorie Maxse was the daughter of Ernest George Berkeley Maxse and Sarah Alice Nottage-Miller.¹ She died on 4 May 1975.¹

     Dorinda Mary Thorne was born in 1910 at Hampstead, London, England^G.² She was the daughter of William Hobart Houghton Thorne and Doris Jenny Jones.^1,2 She married Major John Herbert Maxse, son of General Sir Frederick Ivor Maxse and Hon. Mary Caroline Wyndham, on 9 July 1931 at Chelsea Old Church, Chelsea, London, England^G.^1,2 She died in 1988.¹
     Her married name became Maxse. She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹

     Gilbert Talbot Hatton Clayton was born on 13 July 1920.^1,2 He was the son of Cecil Fraser Talbot Clayton and Alice Hatton.³ He died in July 1999 at Poole, Dorset, England.²

     James Maxse was born in 1792.² He was the son of John Maxse.² He married Lady Caroline FitzHardinge Berkeley, daughter of Frederick Augustus Berkeley, 5th Earl of Berkeley and Mary Cole, on 24 December 1829 at Cranford, London, England^G.^1,2 He died on 3 March 1864.¹
     He matriculated at University College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England^G, on 5 December 1809.² In 1818 he bought the Old Club at Melton Mowbray with James Musgrave, Valentine Maher and John Moore. Members of this hunting and dining club included Beau Brummell and James Brudenell, the unpleasant Earl of Cardigan. 1827 - Owner of the yacht Miranda, winner of the RYS cup presented by King George IV. 1829 - Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire. 1841 - Independent means, Yachtsman and MFH; 33 Upper Grosvenor Street, St. George's Hanover Square, London. Leased this address until his death in 1864. Lady Caroline Maxse continued to live there until 1886.²

     Lt.-Col. Sir Henry FitzHardinge Berkeley Maxse was born in 1832.¹ He was the son of James Maxse and Lady Caroline FitzHardinge Berkeley. He married Auguste von Rudloff in 1859.¹ He died in September 1883 at St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada^G.²
