Hon. Arthur Gellibrand Hubbard was born on 6 February 1848.1 He was the son of John Gellibrand Hubbard, 1st Baron Addington and Hon. Maria Margaret Napier.1 He married Amelia d'Esterre Huntly, daughter of Charles Hugh Grafton Fitzroy Beachcroft Huntly and Isabella Bennett Baillie, on 29 June 1881.1 He died on 7 March 1896 at age 48.1

Captain William John Napier, 9th Lord Napier of Merchistoun was born on 13 October 1786 at Kinsale, County Cork, Ireland.2 He was the son of Francis Napier, 8th Lord Napier of Merchistoun and Maria Margaret Clavering.3 He married Eliza Cochrane-Johnstone, daughter of Colonel Hon. Andrew James Cochrane-Johnstone and Lady Georgiana Hope Johnstone, on 28 March 1816.3 He died on 11 October 1834 at age 47 at Macau.2
He fought in the Battle of Trafalgar.2 He succeeded as the 9th Lord Napier of Merchistoun [S., 1627] on 1 August 1823.3 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Scott, of Thirlestane [N.S., 1666] on 1 August 1823.3 He held the office of Representative Peer [Scotland] between 1824 and 1832.2 He held the office of Lord of the Bedchamber to Kign William IV.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.2 He was Special Trade Commissioner and Chief Resident of Canton, China in 1833.2
