Lt.-Col. Arthur Preston Hohler was born on 11 January 1887.3 He was the son of Frederick Scott Hohler and Frances Amelia Preston.3 He married Laline Annette Astell, daughter of William Harvey Astell and Hon. Elizabeth Maria Vereker, on 9 April 1910.3 He died on 7 March 1919 at age 32.3
