     Cuthbert FitzHerbert-Brockholes was born on 24 May 1899. He was the son of William Joseph FitzHerbert-Brockholes and Blanche Winifred Mary Clifford. He married Barbara Maria Manuela Scrope, daughter of Henry Aloysius Scrope and Maria Mercedes de Laski, on 11 February 1930. He died in 1975.
     He was vice-chairman of Barclays Bank.1

     Barbara Maria Manuela Scrope is the daughter of Henry Aloysius Scrope and Maria Mercedes de Laski. She married Cuthbert FitzHerbert-Brockholes, son of William Joseph FitzHerbert-Brockholes and Blanche Winifred Mary Clifford, on 11 February 1930.
     Her married name became FitzHerbert-Brockholes.

She married Sir Simon Peter Edmund Cosmo William Towneley, son of Colonel Alexander Louis Wynand Koch de Gooreynd and Priscilla Cecilia Maria Worsthorne Reyntiens, in 1955.2 She died in 2001.1
     She was educated at Royal College of Art, London, EnglandG.1 From 1955, her married name became Towneley.2
