     Sir Thomas Willans Nussey, 1st Bt. was born on 12 October 1868.1 He was the son of Thomas Nussey and Helen Dodgson.2,1 He married, firstly, Edith Daniel, daughter of Edward MacManus Daniel, on 7 October 1897.1 He married, secondly, Edith Maud Cliff, daughter of William Dewhirst Cliff, on 20 February 1935.1 He died on 12 October 1947 at age 79.1
     Sir Thomas Willans Nussey, 1st Bt. usually went by his middle name of Willans.1 He graduated from Trinity Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1893 entitled to practise as a barrister-at-law.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Pontefract between 1893 and 1910.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the North Riding, Yorkshire.1 He was created 1st Baronet Nussey, of Rishwood Hall, in the parish of Kirklington, co. York. [U.K.] on 26 July 1909.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of the North Riding, Yorkshire.1

     From 7 October 1897, her married name became Nussey.1

     She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1919.1 From 20 February 1935, her married name became Nussey.1
