General Charles James Conway Mills1

     General Charles James Conway Mills was born on 29 May 1816.2 He was the son of Major William Mills and Charlotte Hare.2 He married Gertrude Whitbread, daughter of Samuel Charles Whitbread and Hon. Julia Brand, on 22 June 1861.2 He died on 12 February 1904 at age 87.2
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Bedfordshire.3 He lived at Cardington, Bedfordshire, EnglandG.1

     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Grenadier Guards.1

     Colonel Charles James Trevor-Roper was born on 29 October 1823.1 He was the son of Charles Blayney Trevor-Roper and Mary Knight.1 He married, firstly, Lucy Anne Aldersey, daughter of Samuel Aldersey, on 30 November 1854.1 He married, secondly, Julia Maria Kortright, daughter of Sir Cornelius Henderickson Kortright, on 8 July 1873.1 He died on 20 September 1901 at age 77, without issue.1
     He graduated from Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Flintshire in 1878.1 He lived at Plas-Teg, Flintshire, WalesG.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Flintshire.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Flintshire.1
