Major William Knollys1

     Major William Knollys was born on 15 October 1694.1 He was the son of Charles Knollys and Elizabeth Lister.1 He married Mary Katherine Law, daughter of John Law and Katherine Knollys.1 He died in June 1740 at age 45, without issue, from cramp.1 He was buried at Chapel in South Audley Street, St. George Hanover Square, London, EnglandG.2 His will (dated 6 June 1740) was proven (by probate) on 14 June 1740.2
     He was styled as Viscount Wallingford between 1695 and 1740.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Horse Guards.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Whig) for Banbury between 1733 and 1740.1

     Dorothy Syssyllt Bassett was born in 1879 at Bridgend, Glamorgan, Wales.1 She was the daughter of Ralph Thurstan Bassett and Augusta Maria Tyler.2 She married, firstly, Frederic George Morgan, 5th Baron Tredegar, son of Hon. Frederic Courtenay Morgan and Charlotte Anne Williamson, on 14 April 1898.2 She and Frederic George Morgan, 5th Baron Tredegar were divorced in 1921.2 She married, secondly, R. W. Kirby on 9 May 1921. She died on 1 October 1929.2
     From 14 April 1898, her married name became Morgan. From 9 May 1921, her married name became Kirby.

     Frederic George Morgan, 5th Baron Tredegar was born on 22 November 1873.1 He was the son of Hon. Frederic Courtenay Morgan and Charlotte Anne Williamson.1 He married Dorothy Syssyllt Bassett, daughter of Ralph Thurstan Bassett and Augusta Maria Tyler, on 14 April 1898.1 He and Dorothy Syssyllt Bassett were divorced in 1921.1 He died on 21 August 1954 at age 80.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the title of 5th Baron Tredegar [U.K., 1859] on 27 April 1949.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Morgan [G.B., 1792] on 27 April 1949.1
