Admiral Sir William Legge George Hoste, 2nd Bt. was born on 19 March 1818 at Rome, ItalyG.2,3 He was the son of Captain Sir William Hoste, 1st Bt. and Lady Harriet Walpole.1 He married Caroline Dorothy Prideaux-Brune, daughter of Charles Prideaux-Brune and Frances Mary Glynn, on 9 December 1858 at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, EnglandG. He died on 10 September 1868 at age 50.2
He gained the rank of Admiral in the Royal Navy. He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Hoste [U.K., 1814] on 6 December 1828.1
