     Gertrude Mary Wentworth was the daughter of Captain Samuel Henry Wentworth. She married Lt.-Col. William Fitzroy, son of Captain William Simon Houghton Fitzroy and Anne Philip Bagge, on 3 August 1864.1 She died on 1 December 1896.1
     She was Royal Engineers.1 Her married name became Fitzroy.

Lt.-Col. William Fitzroy

     Lt.-Col. William Fitzroy was born on 29 November 1830.1 He was the son of Captain William Simon Houghton Fitzroy and Anne Philip Bagge.1 He married Gertrude Mary Wentworth, daughter of Captain Samuel Henry Wentworth, on 3 August 1864.1 He died on 7 October 1902 at age 71.1
     He was Lieutenant-Colonel of the 31st Regimental District, formerly 47th Foot.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Warwickshire.1 He lived at Northcote House, Rugby, Warwickshire, EnglandG.1

     William Wentworth FitzRoy was born on 25 April 1867.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. William Fitzroy and Gertrude Mary Wentworth. He died on 25 January 1884 at age 16.1

     Captain Philip FitzWilliam Fitzroy was born on 24 February 1870.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. William Fitzroy and Gertrude Mary Wentworth. He died on 30 September 1923 at age 53.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Artillery.1

     Captain Frederick Henry Fitzroy was born on 22 January 1872.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. William Fitzroy and Gertrude Mary Wentworth. He married Eleanor Allan, daughter of William Allan, on 4 January 1904.1 He died on 9 July 1937 at age 65.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy Reserve.1 He was awarded the Reserve Decoration (R.D.)1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Naval Reserve.

     Captain William Wentworth Stewart-FitzRoy was born on 28 September 1907.1 He was the son of Captain Frederick Henry Fitzroy and Eleanor Allan.1 He married, firstly, Margaret Patricia Grant, daughter of Douglas Stewart Grant, on 26 April 1934.1 He married, secondly, Evelyn Nichol, daughter of James Wallace Nichol, in 1988.1 He died on 23 October 1998 at age 91.1
     He was given the name of William Wentworth FitzRoy at birth.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He fought in the Korean War.1 He was ,Naval Attaché to Belgrade.1 In September 1958 his name was legally changed to William Wentworth Stewart-FitzRoy by Deed Poll.1 He gained the rank of Commodore in the Superintendent, HM Dockyard Singapore.1 He held the office of Naval Aide-de-Camp to HM Queen Victoria from 1961 to 1962.1 He was Admiralty Regional Officer, Scotland between 1962 and 1972.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Sutherland in 1974.1

     Margaret Patricia Grant is the daughter of Douglas Stewart Grant.1 She married Captain William Wentworth Stewart-FitzRoy, son of Captain Frederick Henry Fitzroy and Eleanor Allan, on 26 April 1934.1 She died in 1984.1
     Her married name became Fitzroy. From September 1958, her married name became Stewart-FitzRoy.1
