     Sarah Dunn Gardner was baptised on 27 September 1786 at Chatteris, Cambridgeshire, England.2 She was the daughter of William Dunn Gardner and Jane (?)1,2 She married, firstly, George Ferrars Townshend, 3rd Marquess Townshend of Raynham, son of George Townshend, 2nd Marquess Townshend of Raynham and Charlotte Ellerker, on 12 May 1807.1 She married, secondly, John Margetts on 24 October 1809 in a bigamous marriage.1 She married, thirdly, James Laidler on 10 January 1856.1 She died on 11 September 1858 at age 71, without legitimate issue.1
     From 12 May 1807, her married name became Townshend.1 She and George Ferrars Townshend, 3rd Marquess Townshend of Raynham were Separation on 8 May 1808.1 From 24 October 1809, her married name became Margetts.1 After her marriage, Sarah Dunn Gardner was styled as Marchioness Townshend of Raynham on 27 July 1811. From 10 January 1856, her married name became Laidler.1
