Archibald Stair Montagu Douglas1

     Archibald Stair Montagu Douglas was born on 15 July 1897.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Montagu William Douglas and Helen Mary Isabelle Downer.1 He married Barbara Assheton, daughter of George Assheton, on 25 February 1926.1 He died on 10 February 1971 at age 73, without issue.1
     He fought in the First World War between 1915 and 1916, where he was wounded.1 He was awarded the Military Medal (M.M.)1 He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Surgeons (M.R.C.S.) in 1925.1 He was registered as a Licentiate, Royal College of Physicians, London (L.R.C.P.) in 1925.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Special Malariologist Instructor, Royal Army Medical Corps.1 He fought in the Second World War between 1943 and 1945, in North Africa and Italy.1
