John Fellowes Wallop, 7th Earl of Portsmouth was born on 27 December 1859.1 He was the son of Isaac Newton Wallop, 5th Earl of Portsmouth and Lady Eveline Alicia Juliana Herbert.1 He died on 7 September 1925 at age 65, unmarried.1
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He succeeded as the 7th Earl of Portsmouth, co. Southampton [G.B., 1743] on 4 December 1917.1 He succeeded as the 7th Viscount Lymington, County of Southampton [G.B., 1720] on 4 December 1917.1 He succeeded as the 7th Baron Wallop, of Farley Wallop, co. Southampton [G.B., 1720] on 4 December 1917.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Devon.1 He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Devon.1 He was Private Secretary to the Governor of Tasmania.1

Robert Wallop was born on 20 July 1601.1 He was the son of Sir Henry Wallop and Elizabeth Corbet.1 He married, firstly, Lady Anne Wriothesley, daughter of Henry Wriothesley, 3rd Earl of Southampton and Elizabeth Vernon.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth (?)1 He died on 19 November 1667 at age 66 at Tower of London, London, England.1

He acquired the manor and seat of Red Castle through his wife.1 He was appointed Knight in 1599.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) between 1601 and 1642.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Hampshire from 1602 to 1603.1 He held the office of Sheriff of Shropshire in 1605.1 He held the office of Member of the Council of Marches of Wales in 1617.1 He also had five daughters.1
