     Major Robert Traven Donaldson Aitken was born on 23 April 1873.1 He was the son of Reverend William Cuthbert Aitken and Jane Noble.1 He married Agnes Jean Thomson, daughter of Samuel Thomson, on 3 June 1901.1 He married Alleen Leeson, daughter of George K. Leeson, in March 1912.1 He died in 1939.1
     Major Robert Traven Donaldson Aitken usually went by his middle name of Traven.1 He graduated from Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, CanadaG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, CanadaG, with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)1 He gained the rank of Major in the Army Service Corps, Canadian Expeditionary Force.1 He fought in the First World War.1

     Reverend William Cuthbert Aitken was born on 28 February 1834.2 He was the son of Robert Aitken and Ann Anderson.3,4 He married Jane Noble, daughter of Joseph Noble and Sarah McQuarrie, on 8 May 1867.2 He died on 13 December 1913 at age 79.1
     He was educated at Bathgate Academy, Bathgate, West Lothian, ScotlandG.2 He was educated at University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.2 In September 1858 he was licensed to preach the gospel.2 He was ordained in 1864.2 He was a Minister between 1864 and 1865 at Cobourg, Ontario, CanadaG.2 He was a Minister between 1865 and 1880 at Vaughan, Maple, Ontario, CanadaG.2 He was a Minister between 1880 and 1902 at Newcastle, New Brunswick, CanadaG.2 He lived at Newcastle, New Brunswick, CanadaG.1

     Jane Noble was the daughter of Joseph Noble and Sarah McQuarrie.1 She married Reverend William Cuthbert Aitken, son of Robert Aitken and Ann Anderson, on 8 May 1867.2 She died on 6 August 1927.1
