     Sir Alexander Lindsay, 1st Bt. was the son of Alexander Lindsay and Marjorie Falconer.1 He married Jean Fotheringham, daughter of Thomas Fotheringham, 10th of Powrie and Margaret Gibson.1 He died circa 1690.1
     He was created 1st Baronet Lindsay, of Evelick, co. Perth [Scotland] on 15 April 1666.

     Alexander Lindsay was baptised on 19 November 1604 at St. Madoes, Perthshire, Scotland.1 He was the son of Reverend Alexander Lindsay and Barbara Bruce.1 He married Marjorie Falconer, daughter of Sir Alexander Falconer of Glenfarquhar, 1st Bt. and Helen Grahame.1 He died circa 25 August 1663.1 He was buried on 28 August 1663 at Kilspindie, Perthshire, Scotland.1
     He lived at Evelick, Perthshire, Scotland.1
