     Alice Cahen d'Anvers was the daughter of Comte Louis Cahen d'Anvers.2 She married Maj.-Gen. Sir Charles Vere Ferrers Townshend, son of Charles Thornton Townshend and Louise Graham, on 22 November 1898.2 She died in 1965.1
     From 22 November 1898, her married name became Townshend.1 She was awarded the Croix de Guerre.2 She was awarded the Médaille d'or de la Reconnaissance.2

Sir Charles Vere Ferrers Townshend and Alice Cahen d'Anvers.1 She married Comte Baudouin de Borchgrave d'Altena, son of Comte Paulo Borchgrave d'Altena, on 22 November 1922.1,2 She and Comte Baudouin de Borchgrave d'Altena were divorced in 1936.2
     She was awarded the Médaille d'or de la Reconnaissance.2

     Arnaud Charles Paul Marie Philippe de Borchgrave d'Altena was born on 26 October 1926 at Brussels, Belgium.1 He was the son of Comte Baudouin de Borchgrave d'Altena and Audrey Dorothy Louise Townshend.1 He married, firstly, Dorothy Solon in 1950.2 He and Dorothy Solon were divorced in 1959.2 He married, secondly, Eileen Ritschel in 1959.2 He died on 15 February 2015 at age 88 at Washington, D.C., U.S.A.1
     He was educated at King's School, Canterbury, Kent, EnglandG.2 He gained the rank of officer between 1942 and 1946 in the Royal Navy.2 He was a foreign correspondent for Newsweek, and editor of the Washington Times.1
