     Sir John Fox was born on 27 May 1882 at London, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Sir John Charles Fox and Mary Louisa Valentine.1 He married, firstly, Edith Gertrude Olive Sharp, daughter of Henry Walt Sharp, on 17 June 1908.1 He married, secondly, Lilian Emma Lawler, daughter of John Lawler, on 6 November 1942 at St. Peter's Church, Vere Street, London, EnglandG.1 He married, thirdly, Pearl Gallantry in 1963.2 He died on 18 December 1970 at age 88.2
     He was educated at Glenalmond College, Perthshire, ScotlandG.1 In 1940 he was sevriously injured in the same explosion which killed his first wife.1 He was appointed Knight in 1943.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)1

     Edith Gertrude Olive Sharp was the daughter of Henry Walt Sharp.1 She married Sir John Fox, son of Sir John Charles Fox and Mary Louisa Valentine, on 17 June 1908.1 She died in 1940, as a reult of enemy action, when a bomb fell on her house.1
     Edith Gertrude Olive Sharp usually went by her middle name of Olive.1 Her married name became Fox.

     Sir John Charles Fox was born on 29 May 1855.2 He was the son of John Fox.2 He married Mary Louisa Valentine, daughter of John Sutherland Valentine, in 1880.2 He died on 21 March 1943 at age 87.2
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Oxfordshire.2 He was appointed Knight in 1921.2 He lived at Bridle Way, Goring, Reading, Berkshire, EnglandG.2
