     Colonel Frederick Gordon Blair was born on 11 November 1852.1 He was the son of Captain William Fordyce Blair and Caroline Isabella Sprot.1 He married Mary Elizabeth Baird, daughter of William Baird and Janet Johnstone, in 1880 at London, England.1
     He lived Boer War.1 He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM King George V between 1914 and 1920.1
