     Sarah Benedict Brown was born on 12 November 1818.² She was the daughter of James Brown and Louisa Kirkland Benedict.^1,2 She married Alexander Brown, son of Sir William Brown, 1st Bt. and Sarah Gihon, on 19 December 1838.¹ She died on 19 August 1902 at age 83.²
     From 19 December 1838, her married name became Brown.²

     Her married name became Brown.

     Lt. Hon. Henry Kerr Auchmuty Cecil was born on 1 April 1914.¹ He was the son of Captain William Amherst Cecil and Gladys Evelyn Baggallay.¹ He married Elizabeth Rohays Mary Burnett, daughter of Maj.-Gen. James Lauderdale Gilbert Burnett of Leys, 13th Bt. and Sybil Aird Crozier Smith, on 15 December 1938.¹ He died between 30 November 1942 and 2 December 1942 at North Africa^G, killed in action.¹
     On 8 January 1921 he was granted by royal warrant the rank of baron's son.¹ He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War. He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Parachute Regiment.¹

     Elizabeth Rohays Mary Burnett was born on 30 August 1916.² She was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. James Lauderdale Gilbert Burnett of Leys, 13th Bt. and Sybil Aird Crozier Smith.¹ She married, firstly, Lt. Hon. Henry Kerr Auchmuty Cecil, son of Captain William Amherst Cecil and Gladys Evelyn Baggallay, on 15 December 1938.¹ She married, secondly, Captain Sir Cecil Charles Boyd-Rochfort, son of Major Rochfort Hamilton Boyd-Rochfort and Florence Louisa Hemming, on 24 July 1944.¹ She died on 17 May 1993 at age 76.^1,3
     From 15 December 1938, her married name became Cecil. From 24 July 1944, her married name became Boyd-Rochfort.

     Maj.-Gen. James Lauderdale Gilbert Burnett of Leys, 13th Bt. was born on 1 April 1880.² He was the son of Colonel Sir Thomas Burnett of Leys, 12th Bt. and Mary Elizabeth Cumine.² He married Sybil Aird Crozier Smith, daughter of William Crozier Smith, on 10 July 1913.² He died on 13 August 1953 at age 73.²
     He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902, where he was mentioned in desptaches.² He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in desptaches eleven times, and was severely wounded.² He was awarded the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917 and bar.² He was Colonel Commandant of the 14th Infantry Brigade between 1917 and 1919.² He was awarded the Chevalier, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur.² He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1919.² He gained the rank of Brigadier in the Royal Company of Archers.² He succeeded as the 13th Baronet Burnett, of Leys, co. Kincardine [N.S., 1626] on 25 January 1926.² He gained the rank of Colonel Commandant in 1927 in the Shanghai Defense Force.² He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Aberdeenshire.² He gained the rank of Major-General in 1931.² He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1932.² He gained the rank of Colonel in the Gordon Highlanders.²

     Sybil Aird Crozier Smith was the daughter of William Crozier Smith.¹ She married Maj.-Gen. James Lauderdale Gilbert Burnett of Leys, 13th Bt., son of Colonel Sir Thomas Burnett of Leys, 12th Bt. and Mary Elizabeth Cumine, on 10 July 1913.¹ She died on 6 April 1960.¹
     Her married name became Burnett.

     William Crozier Smith lived at Whitehill, St. Boswells, Roxburghshire, Scotland^G.¹
