George Nowell Thomas Smyth-Osbourne and Gladys Marguerite Porter, in 1953 at Westminster, London, England.1 She died on 10 August 2015 at age 91.2
     From 1953, her married name became Smyth-Osbourne.1

     Major George William Smyth-Osbourne was born in 1915 at Tavistock, Devon, England.1 He was the son of Brig.-Gen. George Nowell Thomas Smyth-Osbourne and Gladys Marguerite Porter.2 He married Ann Katherine Louisa Crowder, daughter of Captain Sir John Frederick Ellenborough Crowder and Florence Gertrude Petre, in 1953 at Westminster, London, England.1 He died on 10 March 2011.3
     He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)3

     Maj.-Gen. Sir Edward Alexander Smyth-Osbourne was born in 1964 at Plymouth, Devon, England.1 He is the son of Major George William Smyth-Osbourne and Ann Katherine Louisa Crowder.1
     He was commissioned in October 1983, in the service of the Life Guards.2 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)2 He was Commanding Officer of the Household Cavalry Regiment in 2005.2 He was Commanding Officer of the 38th (Irish) Infantry Brigade in 2009.2 He was Major-General of the Household Division in July 2013.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 2016.
