     Thomas Claud George Hamilton was the son of Reverend George Hamilton and Anna Pepper.2 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Spooner, daughter of Richard Spooner.1 He married, firstly, Gertrude Anne Uhthoff, daughter of Joshua Andrew Uhthoff, in 1849.1 He died in 1889.1
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Dublin.1

     Alfred Hamilton Ormsby married Gertrude Uhthoff Hamilton, daughter of Thomas Claud George Hamilton and Gertrude Anne Uhthoff, on 7 September 1892.1
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He lived at Cabinteely House, County Dublin, Ireland.1 He was Junior Crown Prosecutor for counties Carlow and Kildare.1 He was given the name of Alfred Ormsby at birth.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 On 19 November 1892 his name was legally changed to Alfred Hamilton Ormsby by Royal Licence.1
