Catherine Henrietta Hamilton was born on 4 May 1858.1 She was the daughter of Reverend William Alfred Hamilton and Henrietta Katherine Cole.2 She married Robert Pollock Hamilton, son of Alexander Hamilton and Emma Pollock, on 26 October 1886.1

Alexander Hamilton was born on 4 January 1829.1 He was the son of Henry Hamilton and Sarah Sandys.2 He married Emma Pollock, daughter of Sir Frederick Pollock, 1st Bt. and Frances Rivers, on 25 October 1851.1 He died on 25 June 1904 at age 75.1

Walter Richard Pollock Hamilton, V.C. was born on 18 August 1856.1 He was the son of Alexander Hamilton and Emma Pollock.2 He died on 3 September 1879 at age 23 at British Embassy, Kabul, Afghanistan, killed in the massacre.1
He was with the Bengal Staff Corps.1 He was awarded the Victoria Cross (V.C.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Queen's Own Corps of Guides.3
