John Welby Haughton was born on 16 April 1866.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. John Haughton and Penelope Welby.2 He married Florence Maud Audrey Shoubridge, daughter of Lt.-Col. Herbert William Shoubridge and Florence Mary Charlton, on 9 June 1896 at Tiverton, Devon, England.1,3 He died on 12 June 1950 at age 84.3
