     Henry Petre was born on 17 August 1821.¹ He was the son of Henry William Petre and Elizabeth Anne Glynn.¹ He married Mary Power, daughter of Edmund Power and Anastatia Phelan Lalor, on 13 August 1846.² He died on 25 April 1900 at age 78.²
