     Robert Wigram was born on 24 June 1874.1 He was the son of Robert Wigram and Mary Edith Solly.2 He married, firstly, Adela Mary Reid, daughter of Richard Reid, on 21 October 1920.1 He married, secondly, Winifred Phipps, daughter of Captain unknown Phipps, on 11 April 1925.1 He died on 3 May 1932 at age 57.1
     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.1 He was educated at Merton College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the 9th Lancers and King's Royal Rifle Corps.1 He fought in the First World War.1
