Edgar Askin Wiggin1

     Edgar Askin Wiggin was born on 26 November 1867.1 He was the son of Sir Henry Samuel Wiggin, 1st Bt. and Mary Elizabeth Malins.2 He married Emilie Margaret Keen, daughter of Arthur Keen, on 27 March 1906.1 He died on 11 November 1939 at age 71.1
     He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902.1 He was commander of the Mounted Infantry Regiment.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Warwickshire.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Warwickshire.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.1 He was commander of the 5th Mounted Brigade between 1914 and 1917.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.1 He gained the rank of Major and Brevet Lieutenant-Colonel in the 13th Hussars.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Warwickshire in 1930.1
