William Westwood, 1st Baron Westwood was born on 28 August 1880.1 He was the son of William Westwood and Elizabeth Shaw.2 He married, firstly, Margaret Taylor Young, daughter of William Young, in June 1905.1 He married, secondly, Agnes Helen Flockhart Downie, daughter of James Downie, on 26 April 1918.1 He died on 13 September 1953 at age 73.1
