     Edward Montague Earle Welby was born on 12 November 1836.1 He was the son of Sir Glynne Earle Welby-Gregory, 3rd Bt. and Frances Cholmeley.2 He married Sarah Elizabeth Everard, daughter of Robert Everard, on 3 February 1870.1 He died on 25 January 1926 at age 89.1
     He graduated from Corpus Christi College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lincolnshire.1 He was a practising barrister.2 He held the office of Stipendiary Magistrate of Sheffield between 1874 and 1915.1

     Sarah Elizabeth Everard was the daughter of Robert Everard.2 She married Edward Montague Earle Welby, son of Sir Glynne Earle Welby-Gregory, 3rd Bt. and Frances Cholmeley, on 3 February 1870.1 She died on 25 February 1909.1
     From 3 February 1870, her married name became Welby.

     Edward Everard Earle Welby-Everard was born on 22 December 1870.1 He was the son of Edward Montague Earle Welby and Sarah Elizabeth Everard.2 He married Gwladys Muriel Petra Herbert, daughter of Reverend George W. Herbert, on 27 June 1899.1 He died on 20 July 1951 at age 80.1
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He was given the name of Edward Everard Earle Welby at birth.2 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from Corpus Christi College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1893 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 On 6 April 1894 his name was legally changed to Edward Everard Earle Welby-Everard by Royal Licence.2 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1896 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He graduated from Corpus Christi College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1929 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Lincolnshire in 1935.1 He lived at Gosberton House, Spalding, Lincolnshire, England.1

     He fought in the Second World War.2 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.2 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Leicestershire in 1956.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Lincolnshire in 1957.1 He was appointed Commander, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (C.St.J.)1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Lincolnshire in 1972.2
