     Elinor Angela Davidson was the daughter of James Henry Davidson.2 She married Sir Cyril Rupert Joseph Ward, 2nd Bt., son of Rt. Hon. Sir Joseph George Ward, 1st Bt. and Theresa Dorothea de Smidt, on 5 December 1908.1 She died on 11 October 1943.1
     From 5 December 1908, her married name became Ward.

     Sir Joseph George Davidson Ward, 3rd Bt. was born on 17 September 1909.1 He was the son of Sir Cyril Rupert Joseph Ward, 2nd Bt. and Elinor Angela Davidson.2 He married Joan Mary Haden Laffey, daughter of Major Thomas Patrick Laffey, on 10 June 1944.1 He died on 4 August 1970 at age 60.1
     He was educated at Christ's College, Christchurch, Canterbury, New Zealand.1 He graduated from Canterbury University College, Christchurch, New ZealandG, in 1933 with a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.)1 He was a practising barrister and solicitor in 1934.1 He graduated from Canterbury University College, Christchurch, New Zealand, in 1934 with a Master of Laws (LL.M.)1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Ward, of Wellington, New Zealand [U.K., 1911] on 10 November 1940.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Transport Shipping Office.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was member of the Christchurch Stock Exchange between 1945 and 1966.1 He was president of the Royal Humane Society of New Zealand.1

     Joan Mary Haden Laffey was the daughter of Major Thomas Patrick Laffey.2 She married Sir Joseph George Davidson Ward, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Cyril Rupert Joseph Ward, 2nd Bt. and Elinor Angela Davidson, on 10 June 1944.1 She died on 13 January 1993.1
     She gained the rank of officer in the Women's Auxiliary Air Force.1 From 10 June 1944, her married name became Ward.
