     Alice Browne was the daughter of unknown Browne.1 She married, firstly, Sir John Aylmer, 3rd Bt., son of Sir Gerald Aylmer, 2nd Bt. and Mary Bellew.1 She married, secondly, Dominick Meade before 1717.1 She married, thirdly, Thomas Lyster on 7 March 1718/19.1 She married, fourthly, Reverend Oliver Carter after 1726.1 She died between 1743 and 1748.2 Her will (dated 20 October 1743) was proven (by probate) on 14 January 1748/49.2
     Her married name became Aylmer.1 From before 1717, her married name became Meade.1 From 7 March 1718/19, her married name became Lyster.1 From after 1726, her married name became Carter.1

William Ewart Gladstone was born on 29 December 1809.1 He was the son of Sir John Gladstone, 1st Bt. and Anne MacKenzie Robertson.1,4 He married Catherine Glynne, daughter of Sir Stephen Richard Glynne, 8th Bt. and Hon. Mary Griffin, on 25 July 1839 at Liverpool, Lancashire, EnglandG.1 He died on 19 May 1898 at age 88.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1831 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)      Sir John Gladstone, 1st Bt. was born on 11 December 1764 at Leith, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1 He was the son of Thomas Gladstones and Helen Neilson.2 He married, firstly, Jane Hall, daughter of Joseph Hall, on 5 May 1791 at Saint Peter Church Street, Liverpool, Lancashire, EnglandG.1 He married, secondly, Anne MacKenzie Robertson, daughter of Andrew Robertson and Anne MacKenzie, on 29 April 1800 at Saint Peter Church Street, Liverpool, Lancashire, EnglandG.1 He died on 7 December 1851 at age 86.3
     He was given the name of John Gladstones at birth.3 On 10 February 1835 his name was legally changed to John Gladstone by Royal Licence.4 He was created 1st Baronet Gladstone, of Fasque and Balfour, co. Kincardine [U.K.] on 18 July 1846.3
