Alice Susan Lucy Campbell Swinton was born on 4 July 1860 at Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.2 She was the daughter of Archibald Campbell Swinton, 3rd of Kimmerghame and Georgina Caroline Sitwell.3 She died on 14 November 1939 at age 79, unmarried.1
