William Augustus Stewart was born on 4 March 1797.1 He was the son of Reverend Abraham Augustus Ewart Stewart and Frances O'Connor.2 He married Anna Molloy, daughter of William Molloy, in February 1830.1 He died on 23 August 1867 at age 70.1
