     He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Grenadier Guards.¹ He lived at Nine Acres, Selborne, Hampshire, England^G.¹

     From 15 March 1946, her married name became Borthwick.¹ She held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Norfolk in 1960.¹ She lived in 2003 at Manor Farm, Brancaster, King's Lynn, Norfolk, England^G.¹

     Edith Sarah Wynne-Finch was born on 5 October 1849.¹ She was the daughter of Charles Griffiths Wynne-Finch and Laura Susan Pollen.¹ She died on 18 July 1858 at age 8.¹
