     Cecil St. Leger Strickland was born on 26 May 1876.1 He was the son of Walter Cecil Strickland and Mary Blanche James.2 He married Lucy Estess Smithes, daughter of Henry Edward Smithes, on 4 June 1903.1 He died on 25 January 1929 at age 52.1

     Cecil Alexander Strickland was born on 26 April 1913.1 He was the son of Cecil St. Leger Strickland and Lucy Estess Smithes.2 He married Peggy Vyvyan Madeleine Gatley, daughter of John Clement Carpenter Gatley, in October 1958.1 He died on 2 January 1967 at age 53, without issue.1
     He was educated at Sherborne School, Sherborne, Dorset, England.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he became a POW.1 He gained the rank of Sergeant in the Pilot Royal Air Force.1
