     Hannah Phillips is the daughter of James Phillips.2 She married Robert Kay, son of James Kay and Mary Kay, on 22 September 1803.1

     Joseph Kay was born on 28 February 1821.1 He was the son of Robert Kay and Hannah Phillips.2 He married Elizabeth Mary Drummond, daughter of Thomas Drummond, on 21 April 1863.1 He died, without issue.1
     He was appointed Queen's Counsel (Q.C.)1 He lived at Fredley, Dorking, Surrey, England.1 He held the office of Judge of Manchester and Salford Palatine Court.1

     Sir Edward Ebenezer Kay was born on 2 July 1822.1 He was the son of Robert Kay and Hannah Phillips.2 He married Mary Valence French, daughter of Reverend William French, on 2 April 1850.1 He died in 1897.1
     He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1847 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn in 1847 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)1 He was appointed Queen's Counsel (Q.C.) in 1866.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He held the office of Lord Justice Appeal.1 He held the office of High Court Judge, Chancery Division in 1881.1
