William Ross of Shandwick was born in 1593.1 He was the son of Robert Ross and unknown wife (?)2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Campbell, daughter of William Campbell of Delnies.1 He married, secondly, Isobel Douglas, daughter of Hector Douglas of Mulderg.1 He died on 20 April 1663.1
He was Minister between 1624 and 1630 at Kincardine, Kincardineshire, Scotland.1 He purchased Shandwick in 1626 from Donald Ross of Shandwick.1

Andrew Ross of Shandwick was the son of William Ross of Shandwick and Elizabeth Campbell.2 He married by contract, firstly, Isobel Ross, daughter of William Ross of Invercharron, on 13 April 1660.1 He married by contract, secondly, Lilias Dallas, daughter of John Dallas, on 15 August 1671.1 He died in October 1675.1
