Richard Everard Webster, 1st Baron Alverstone was born on 22 December 1842 at 4 Chester Place, London, EnglandG.1 He was the son of Thomas W. Webster and Elizabeth Anne Calthrop.1 He was baptised on 3 May 1843 at St. Peter's Church, Eaton Square, Belgravia, London, EnglandG.1 He married Louisa Mary Calthrop, daughter of William Charles Calthrop and Louisa Jane Carr, on 20 August 1872 at Withern, Lincolnshire, EnglandG.1 He died on 15 December 1915 at age 72 at Winterfold, Cranleigh, Surrey, EnglandG, from dropsy, after a long illness, with no surving male issue.2 He was buried on 18 December 1915.2
