     Lt.-Col. Donald Ryvet Hildick-Smith was born on 3 December 1920.¹ He was the son of Brigadier John Norman Hildick-Smith and Kathleen Maud Rivett-Carnac.² He married Frances Penelope Bache, daughter of Eric Bache, on 11 October 1947.¹ He died on 19 September 1997 at age 76.¹
     He was educated at Bedford School, Bedford, Bedfordshire, England.¹ He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, London, England.¹ He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1944.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Coloonel in the Royal Engineers.¹ He was Instructor between 1956 and 1958 at Staff College, Quetta, Pakistan.¹ He was AAQMG Land Forces Persian Gulf.¹

     Eric Bache was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He lived at Bewdley, Worcestershire, England.¹

     Frances Penelope Bache was born circa 1923.² She was the daughter of Eric Bache.³ She married Lt.-Col. Donald Ryvet Hildick-Smith, son of Brigadier John Norman Hildick-Smith and Kathleen Maud Rivett-Carnac, on 11 October 1947.¹ She died on 6 November 2016.²
     From 11 October 1947, her married name became Hildick-Smith. She lived in 2003 at Redmarley Orchards, Great Witley, Worcestershire, England.¹

     Brian Anthony Hildick-Smith was born on 15 September 1953.¹ He is the son of Lt.-Col. Donald Ryvet Hildick-Smith and Frances Penelope Bache.² He married Tina Helen Panes, daughter of Henry John Panes, on 19 July 1980.¹
