     Hon. John Henry Knox was born on 26 July 1788.1 He was the son of Thomas Knox, 1st Earl of Ranfurly and Hon. Diana Jane Pery.2 He married Lady Mabella Josephine Needham, daughter of General Francis Needham, 1st Earl of Kilmorey and Anne Fisher, on 12 February 1822.1 He died on 27 August 1872 at age 84.1

     Lady Mabella Josephine Needham was born circa 1801.1 She was the daughter of General Francis Needham, 1st Earl of Kilmorey and Anne Fisher.2,1 She married Hon. John Henry Knox, son of Thomas Knox, 1st Earl of Ranfurly and Hon. Diana Jane Pery, on 12 February 1822.2 She died on 16 November 1899.1
     Her married name became Knox.

General Francis Needham, 1st Earl of Kilmorey

     General Francis Needham, 1st Earl of Kilmorey was born on 5 April 1748.1 He was the son of John Needham, 10th Viscount Kilmorey and Anne Hurleston.1 He married Anne Fisher, daughter of Thomas Fisher, on 20 February 1787.1 He died on 21 November 1832 at age 84.1
     He was commissioned in 1762, in the service of the British Army.1 He fought in the American War of Independence.1 He succeeded as the 12th Viscount Kilmorey, in Queen's Co. [I., 1625] on 27 May 1791.1 He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to King George III between 1793 and 1795.1 He gained the rank of Major-General in 1795.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-General in 1802.1 He was Colonel of the 86th Foot between 1810 and 1832.1 He gained the rank of General in 1812.1 He was created 1st Viscount Newry and Mourne, co. Down [Ireland] on 5 February 1822.1 He was created 1st Earl of Kilmorey [Ireland] on 5 February 1822.1

Edmond Sexten Pery, 1st and last Viscount Pery of Newtown-Pery1

     Edmond Sexten Pery, 1st and last Viscount Pery of Newtown-Pery was born in April 1719.1 He was the son of Reverend Stackpole Pery and Jane Twigg.2 He married, firstly, Patty Martin, daughter of John Martin, on 11 June 1756.1 He married, secondly, Hon. Elizabeth Vesey, daughter of John Denny Vesey, 1st Baron Knapton and Elizabeth Brownlow, on 27 October 1762.1 He died on 24 February 1806 at age 86, without male issue.1
     He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1 He was admitted to Middle Temple.1 He was admitted to Irish bar in 1745 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wicklow [Ireland] between 1751 and 1760.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Limerick [Ireland] between 1761 and 1785.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] in 1771.1 He held the office of Speaker of Parliament [Ireland] between 1771 and 1785.1 He was created 1st Viscount Pery of Newtown-Pery, near the City of Limerick [Ireland] on 30 December 1785.1 On his death, his title became extinct.1

     Edward Knox was born on 23 September 1860.1 He was the son of Captain Henry Needham Knox and Alexandrine Henrietta Wilhelmine Lavit.1 He married Mabel Wade, daughter of John Edward Wade, on 28 April 1887.1 He died on 13 July 1950 at age 89.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the 2nd Volunteer Battalion, Welsh Regiment.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Somerset.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Glamorgan.1 He was Agent to Lord Hylton.1 He was chairman of Frome Rural District Council in 1916.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1933.1

     Mabel Wade was the daughter of John Edward Wade.1 She married Edward Knox, son of Captain Henry Needham Knox and Alexandrine Henrietta Wilhelmine Lavit, on 28 April 1887.1 She died on 24 July 1943.1

Captain John Needham Knox1

     Captain John Needham Knox was born on 10 October 1890 at Riding, Northumberland, England.1,2 He was the son of Edward Knox and Mabel Wade.1 He married Monica Kitson, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sir Gerald Kitson, on 20 October 1926.1 He died on 5 April 1967 at age 76.1,2
     He fought in the Persian Gulf Campaign between 1911 and 1913.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was awarded the Croix de Guerre avec palmes.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1 He was Temporary Clerk to the Signet, Foreign Office between 1936 and 1940.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was awarded the Officer, U.S. Legion of Merit.1
