     Roger Macbeth Rigby was born on 7 June 1922.¹ He was the son of Sir Hugh Mallinson Rigby, 1st Bt. and Flora Macbeth.² He married Patricia Anne Tufnell, daughter of Captain Desmond Nevill Cooper Tufnell and Evelyn Irene Morton Hilder, on 2 February 1957.¹ He died on 19 January 2019 at age 96 at Shaftesbury, Dorset, England.³
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.¹ He was educated at Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Honarary Captain in the Royal Armoured Corps.¹ He lived in 2003 at Ansty Plum, Ansty, Tisbury, Wiltshire, England.¹
